Allow GitHub/GitLab accounts to be connected to multiple Render accounts

If you have multiple Render accounts, it can be helpful to be able to attach the same GitHub/GitLab account to multiple Render users.

Stumbled upon this today. I have a single GitHub account but multiple Render accounts (one personal and one for my company). I want to keep Render accounts separate mainly because email addresses are different and on the company one I want it to be connected to my company's Google Workspace.
This would be very helpful.

This is a pretty huge drawback of Render. GitHub encourages users to use a single personal account rather than creating separate accounts for organization use (to maintain your commit history & activity). Since my company uses Render, I'm essentially unable to use it for anything else.

I've run into this problem at two different companies now. I'd really like to avoid creating another GitHub account just for my new company.

Hi (-:
Arriving late to the party.
Maybe I am missing something here, please correct me.
But coming from Heroku this is a H-U-G-E deal breaker.
So in Heroku we multiple users working inside Heroku's dashboard.
All them can create services, jobs and more...
But in Render only a SINGLE user can create services and jobs, and other users are just left out because they are stuck at the "connect to Github" screen.
I must be missing something here, because this the most basic use case coming from Heroku. Maybe I am not seeing a simpler way around this?

I would also like this as I have just dealt with it. I have a personal Render account and started at a new job. They've added my GitHub to their GitHub org, but now I need to manage the applications in Render from my personal Render account, which feels off to me.

1) I personally have a Github account and a Render account. The Render account can be linked to a Github account for login/auth.
2) The teams I am a part of on Render have services etc. Each service is linked to a Github/lab repository.
It seems like these are somehow bundled together currently? The service's connection in 2 piggy-backs off the link in 1.
Maybe there are other scenarios that relate to this as well. For example, what if a team member sets up a service connected to Github using their personal account. Then something happens, e.g they're removed from the Render team, or GH org, etc etc. Does the Render service get left in a strange state by having its connection to Github coupled to that user?

It would be nice if it could work like Netlify, to be honest. I can use my Github account with the many different Netlify accounts I have/use for clients. This is basically a deal-breaker for me using Render for corporate work.

As mentioned by others I also use my Github account for both private projects and for work. I would love to use a private account alongside my work account.

"What I'd like is to have 2 separate Render logins, both connected to 2 GH Organizations that my 1 GitHub account controls." - this is exactly what I need as well.

We'd love to know more about when this is useful, especially since you can be on multiple teams with the same GitHub/GitLab account.

Anurag Goel: Unless I'm misinterpreting, I took this request to mean 1 GitHub account (can) belongs to many Render accounts.
What I'd like is to have 2 separate Render logins, both connected to 2 GH Organizations that my 1 GitHub account controls.
As I write it out, I guess I could make 1 Render login that has access to both these teams and integrate it that way.. But I like that less for some reason (maybe because billing/security issues).
As a side note, I believe I achieved my goal but am not sure how it's working: I connected my first Render account to my GH, deployed a repo, disconnected GitHub, then logged onto my 2nd Render account, connected the same GH, and deployed repo #2 on that Render account..
Both seem to be running fine, but this feels sketchy.

Anurag Goel: I have a single github account that belongs to multiple organizations.
I'd love to be able to create a Render account for personal use using my non-organization repos, and another Render account (with separate billing) for work using my work organization repos.

Anurag Goel: A small company using a freelance developer to build a website for them. The developer creates a render account for them, and then wants to connect his Github account- where the website project is, but can't because he already connected his Github account to his personal render account. It just doesn't make sense to create another Github account for the small company just so you are able to connect it to render.

Anurag Goel: I use my github accounts which is linked to multiple organizations. I would like to use multiple render.com accounts (personal, org 1, org 2 etc)
As it stands now, I cannot do that unless I want to expose one orgs render account to another through multiple teams or my personal projects on render to other orgs
