We've updated docs here (https://render.com/docs/yaml-spec#scaling) to show you how to configure autoscaling in render.yaml.

A note on if you're already using YAML to manage your service, and you've turned autoscaling on from the dashboard:

Autoscaling will continue to work as-is for now.

Once you add the scaling section to your render.yaml, your autoscaling settings will always be synced from YAML instead.

If you want to continue to use autoscaling with YAML services, you must update your render.yaml by January 12th, 2022. After that date, if autoscaling is not specified for the service, new syncs will automatically disable autoscaling for your service.
