Do you have a plan for this? We’re increasingly using Turso in our projects instead of Postgres. Turso internally relies on S3 Express, which has limited region availability — most notably, it has Tokyo but lacks Singapore region.
We’ve decided to use SQLite/LibSQL/Limbo for most smaller-scale apps, eliminating the need for Docker on dev machines. This is part of our effort to enable non-tech employees to maintain projects, as Postgres was the only reason we needed Docker.
Having the database closer to compute is more important than compute-to-user proximity. In our case, that means choosing between Render’s Tokyo region or an S3 Express Singapore region. And I believe Render is more responsive to these kinds of requests than AWS. :)

This has been marked planned since 2021, last update in 2022. Anurag Goel is it safe to say this isn't happening?

There’s absolutely no rush, but I was wondering if the Tokyo region is already on the roadmap or currently in progress?

Anurag Goel: When do you plan to add the Tokyo region?
Two years have passed since I heard that it would be added in 2022.
I don't mean to rush you, but I'd like to know the real schedule.

It seems like it's been a while since this issue was brought up. Will there be any progress in 2023?

We also want the Tokyo region because most of our service infrastructure is located in Tokyo.
