We're hoping to get this out quickly, and planning to restrict databases to 1 read replica on the same plan. This should serve the majority of requests, but do let us know if you see yourself needing more replicas or a different billing plan for replicas.

Anurag Goel: A single read replica bundled with the existing plans would be amazing, and certainly satisfy all my needs, personally. Are you planning to add these for all plan levels, or will it be something that kicks in at higher tiers?

Ian Beck: they will be available on all plans except Starter, and will be charged like regular database instances and prorated by the second.

Avi Moondra: Totally agree with you. You don't want reporting systems hitting the main database. I use read replicas on DO specifically for Metabase
