Reduce the downtime with disks

According to the documentation, the deployment downtime with disks is in the order of few seconds. However, with my current test Go app, re-deployment time in frankfurt region takes around a minute and more. I'd love to see this time-span shorter.

One use-case that matters to me: using SQLite as a database for a web app. On Fly.io, I can get their proxy to hold requests for a few seconds while the app restarts. On Render (the last time I tested), the application returned 503 errors for ~30 seconds while the application was offline.

We're working on enabling services to have multiple instances with disks which will enable zero downtime deploys.

Hi Anurag Goel , is there any information available when this improvement is ready?

david You can try our EA right now, which supports use cases, like disks as caches. More details here: https://render.com/changelog/scalable-disk-backed-services-now-in-early-access

Meagan Gamache Do you have an update about this improvement? We saw that the option to enable this feature was removed from the Team Settings page. But the documentation did not update.
